Introduction into the world of Baka people from Cameroon (by Su Hart)
Su Hart and her husband Martin Craddick went to Cameroon in 1992 and inspired by the world of Baka people and their songs they dedicated themselves to sharing the beauty they've found there – they’ve founded Baka Beyond, well known world music band and they are also giving seminars and workshops thus teaching others the songs of this tribe from Africa and showing video material they’ve made during their visits. They are both involved in lives of the people they’ve learned from and they always find a way of supporting them in many ways believing it is a fair return for what they’ve been given. As in many cultures, songs are important part in everyday living of Baka people. Su will teach us some of those songs at her workshop and show some of the video material they’ve made about that African culture.

The workshop will be held in English language.

Making of diplica, techniques of playing diplica and diple (by Andor Végh)
Andor Végh is known as a member of Kries and for a large number of those who are deeply involved into traditional music, Andor is also known as an excellent musician and a lecturer. For over a decade, Andor has been giving seminars, workshops and lessons at music schools. He had also shared his knowledge at International Review of Folklore in Zagreb, at The National Piping Centre in Glasgow, gave workshops organized as part of celebration of UNESCO’s Day of Cultural Diversity etc. This time, Andor will teach us how to make and play diplica, a small traditional flute and to play diple, traditional bagpipes

The workshop will be held in Croatian language.

All material necessary for making diplice will be provided at the site.
Diple workshop is for those who already play diple and are willing to learn more techniques. They need to bring their own diple.
Duration of each Andor’s workshop will be determined according to the final number of attendees.
